What We Know About The Next IPhone

It's not clear what Apple will call its 2015 iPhones, but Apple may stick to its long running "S" naming scheme (which has been around since 2009), calling the new phones the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. iPhone 6s Plus is a mouthful though, so it is possible that this might be the year that we get a new naming format. One analyst believes Apple might call its next-generation phone the "iPhone 7" due to the significance of the new changes being implemented, but it's far too early in development to know for sure.

Messages With Gmail can Now Self-Destruct

Self-Destruct: Gmail messages can now go BANG !!!

This can prove a great asset for more secure communications or when discussing personal information.

Dmail, a new Google Chrome plugin, gives you complete control over how long your recipient can view your email.

The Chrome extension adds a "Send with Dmail" button next to the regular "Send" button in any email you compose. This gives you complete control to revoke sent emails.

The Question: "Doesn't Gmail allow users to revoke sent emails"
The Answer: Yes and No. Gmail's "undo send" button only works for up to 30 seconds.
Now Dmail gives you as much time as you like.

Top Four Tech Companies | By Stock Performance

four horsemen
www.askpryme.com
Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Google are undeniably leaders in their respective markets - and their stock performance this year shows that.

  • Apple the laggard of the group with its shares up only 17% in 2015.
  • Facebook has gained more than 25%.
  • Google is now up 30%.
  • Amazon has soared 55%.

So what's next for these fabulous four?
Apple is the only one of these stocks that could be considered a bargain. It trades for just 13 times earnings estimates for next year. The company is the only one of these four that also pays a dividend.

Not to Mind all the talks about Apple Watch sales being lackluster, Apples earnings show that iPhone demand is still ridiculously strong.
Google now trades for more than 20 times 2016 profit forecasts thanks to July 17's big move. But for the first time in a while, Google is living up to the hype.

The latest earnings showed strength in mobile and online video advertising. And Wall Street loves that new CFO Ruth Porat (formerly of Morgan Stanley (MS)) is promising to be more disciplined when it comes to expenses.

What Happened to Ashley Madison - Hacked

This is 2015, staying private and using your real name online is an insane idea.

News Alert: Ashley Madison - the Cheat-on-your-spouse website got hacked. The hackers are threatening to reveal the names of the sites 37 million cheating users.

Lesson Alert: If you give a company your name, credit card number, photo, address - don't expect it to stay secret forever.
It has been revealed - No website can guarantee privacy. Every computer can be hacked. That's the reality.

Here's the dirty little secret only computer engineers know. The way the Internet was built, it's inherently insecure. Communicating online is like sending paper notes on an automobile highway in a war zone.
To keep your notes private, mathematicians come up with complex algorithms to encrypt communication.

Yik Yak the Anonymous messaging App Now Shares Images

It is now Official that Yik Yak has the ability to share photos, after months of testing.

The anonymous messaging app, which previously let users anonymously post text-based messages only, announced on Wednesday it plans on rolling out photo-sharing to all users over the next several days.
The start-up wrote in a blog post "Sure, you could describe that amazing Eggs Benedict your mom just made for breakfast (let’s be real, sometimes being home for summer has its perks), but it’s often more tantalizing to share a drool-inducing photo of it, too,".

It was reported in March that Yik Yak was testing out photo-sharing with a small subset of users. To combat potential issues around nudity, bullying and sexual harassment, the start-up had employees moderate those photos before they appeared in the app.
According to Yik Yak, employees will continue to moderate photos being uploaded by all users for the time being. It also reiterated guidelines, including no inappropriate photos — or "anything you wouldn't send to your mother" — or illegal content. Photos with faces won't be allowed in local feeds, but they will be allowed in photo collections, which can be found in the Explore section of the app.

Microsoft Windows 10 preview gets Update ahead of Official Release Date

With the Windows 10 launch just weeks away, Microsoft rolled out a new build Wednesday to Windows Insiders, the group that tests early versions of the software.

Microsoft may have just dropped the first official version of Windows 10 that will roll out beyond the company's group of early testers.

Officially, Microsoft has not specified whether the latest build is the same as the version expected to drop July 29, but multiple reports surfaced Wednesday suggesting Build 10240 will be the one designated as the "release to manufacturing" version. Even if Build 10240 is not officially the RTM build, a designation that's becoming less defined as Microsoft revamps its update process, the latest build will likely be very similar to what Microsoft will send to manufacturers and what those who update from Windows 8.1 will see.
